Forgive And Let Go
A Touch, a
kiss, a massage
Healing it was all about, no doubt
His taste lingers, mixing with my space
His essence interrupts my being
Plenty of Love to give, unable to give it
Past battles spoiled our crave
For love to fuse the past must be forgiven
Forgive and let go
Our desires gusted in like a rushing river
We enter that door without reason
The excitement got the best of us
Climbing to the top was going to be our link
Jumping off without a shout, his armor thickened
Prayers to GOD to heal our wounds
No need to spill blood onto another
To love any other the heart must be restored
I must forgive and let go
Malicious ways, we couldn’t move beyond
His obsessive past, inflicted onto me
Is he always like this, I had love to give
Vain, self-absorbed, injured
I am the best he will ever know
Will he ever know?
God will break it down
Surely kindness will come out of this
Did I have a chance?
Forgive and let go
