HEART OF STONE

The heart is young and innocent
Ready to love and be loved
Little by little someone hurts it.
The hearts gets older and wiser
Yet not willing to give up
The heart wants to love and be loved.
Deep Sadness comes upon the heart
The loving heart is broken
The love is buried deep into the heart
No one is welcome
The heart turns to stone

Who hurt this heart of yours
You carry this alone, you hurt too long
Who was there to bring you comfort
Who was there to love you
Who was there to tell you, it wasn’t you
Because of this your
Heart turned to stone

I wasn’t there, if I was, I would have hugged you and
Tell you no matter what, we will get through this together
I would of held you tight and conquered your fears
I would have offered you kindness
I would have shown you compassion
Don’t endure this affliction any longer
Let yourself be loved
Let love break that heart of stone

You’re the only one that can reverse this
Break that stone and set your heart free
Don’t live merciless,  let love inside
Don’t deprive yourself of the love you deserve
You're beautiful on the outside, let alone on the inside
Is there a place for my light to come into that
Dark heart of stone
