THE WHITE WOLF

He comes into the night looking for prey
He stares at me, when I look away
He is confident, arrogant and strong
He hunts me down, until I play

I knew him in a former life
I've known him from a hidden past
My soul uncovered this passage I had closed
His scent I had traced to a passion I once tasted
I touch this one before

His gentle touch stirs me,
Just enough to hunger for more
He came to conquer, that he did
Now he leaves me dancing alone in the wind
I don't blame him for he is my kind

He holds back for it is forbidden
For the white wolf is to devour his prey
Not submits to it
I will always thank him
For he let me live

We play too long
I've seen his weakness
He's terrified to be left alone
Fear of being deserted
He will remain where he lays, concede to be safe
He will encounter this over again
Until he is brave.
